If you feel you would like any extra support for your child or yourself over the holiday period, the Compassionate Schools and Safeguarding teams at Discovery have compiled a list of websites and helplines we have found to be useful. There is also student friendly information sheet available.
Mind: Open Monday to Friday. 9am-6pm on 0300 123 3393
Samaritans: Offers a listening service which is open 24 hours a day, on 116 123(UK –this number is free to call and will not show up on your phone bil.
Rethink Mental Illness: This offers practical help through its advice line which can be reached on 0300 5000 927 (open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm). More information can be found on
Young Minds: National charity committed to improving the mental health of all babies, children and young people. Provides information for both parents and young people.
