Matt Conant

My background is in youth work which I enjoyed spending 11 years doing. After this I worked in children’s homes for four years before joining Discovery Academy as a TA. In essence I am a carer who has a heart for helping others and so I love being able to support our students here.

My main role is to support the students in whatever way they need it, be it academically or emotionally and help them to develop and reach their potential.

I also really enjoy taking a lead in supporting the staff in school with their wellbeing. It is so nice to be able to be a small link in a chain that widens the smiles of all of us who work here!
